In 1925, William Vanderbilt created a splendid winter estate on a 216 acre island just off the coast of gleaming Miami and Miami Beach. He called it Fisher Island. Today, it has been restored to its former grandeur as the luxurious Fisher Island Club, with the finest recreational amenities and accommodations to be found anywhere. Guests of The Fisher Island Club reside in faithfully restored Vanderbilt-era Cottages, luxurious one-bedroom Villa Suites with sitting rooms, private patios and hot tubs and spacious one-and two-bedroom Seaside Villas overlooking the Atlantic near Fisher Island's beach Club. All registered guests receive a complimentary golf cart for use during their stay. Luxury accommodations located in the main Vanderbilt Mansion area, adjacent to the beach. The Courtyard Villas feature a king size bed, sitting area, separate vanity and bath with a Jacuzzi tub. The large private walled courtyard with in-ground spa, lounge chairs and dining table make these villas distinct. Once the home of the Vanderbilt's daughter, this three bedroom, three bath cottage features a country kitchen and formal living room with fireplace. The cottage contains original marble floors and antique decor. The walled private courtyard features a tiled spa ideal for sun-bathing, relaxing, dining or entertaining. Spacious accommodations located in the guest quarter section of the original Vanderbilt estate steps from the Spa Internazionale and the Tennis Center. Each Junior Suite has elegant marble flooring, a separate sitting area, wet bar and bedroom area with two queen size beds. Luxurious bathes featuring separate vanities, dressing area and a large Jacuzzi style tub. Spacious two-bedroom apartment features a fully equipped kitchen, full dining room, living room and elegant master bedroom suite and second bedroom.
